Benyans'kiy children's home was formed in October 1957. The main task of the institution is the life organization, education and upbringing and correction of mentally psychophysical defects of mentally retarded preschool children. The staff of the school tries to create conditions the most similar to home conditions, conditions of all-round education of the children deprived of parental care. They try to give every care, attention and human and social support. |

In six weeks Konstantin will attempt to climb Elbrus, the highest mountain in Europe, to raise money to purchase a cancer treatment equipment for a children hospital in Ukraine.

In doing so EveryChild has challenged a law that denies abandoned children the right to a family. Working alongside the local authority in the Kyiv region, EveryChild has trained and supported emergency foster families to care for children who would ordinarily be confined to a hospital or children's home.
