Дитячий будинок сімейного типу (дбст) – найбільш прийнятна форма виховання дітей-сиріт. Бачимо це в порівнянні між випускниками інтернатів та випускниками дбст. У дитячому будинку сімейного типу формування особистості дитини відбувається в природних умовах, вплив батьків-вихователів на світогляд і самоусвідомлення дитини виконує домінуючу роль. Сімейне оточення формує у дитини морально-етичні ідеали й смаки, норми поведінки, трудові навички, ціннісні орієнтації, тобто усі ті якості, які формують особисту індивідуальність. Досвід функціонування дитячих будинків сімейного типу в Україні засвідчує, що їхні соціальні функції як соціального інституту не відрізняються від функціонування звичайної біологічної сім’ї. Тому підтримувати саме такі форми виховання дітей є нашим пріоритетом.

Дбст Маковей функціонують з 2006 року. За цей час дали старт у життя багатьом дітям-сиротам. Зараз Валентина Іванівна та Олег Іванович виховують 10 дітей. We support family-type orphanage (FTO)

A family-type orphanage is the most acceptable form of raising orphaned children. We can state it comparing the graduates of boarding schools and the graduates of FTO. The formation of a child's personality is going on naturally in a family-type orphanage , the influence of parent-educators on the worldview and self-awareness of the child plays a dominant role. The family environment forms a child's moral and ethical ideals and tastes, norms of behavior, working skills, value orientations, all these qualities form personal individuality. The experience of FTO functioning in Ukraine proves that its social functions as a social institution do not differ from the functioning of an ordinary biological family. Therefore, it is our priority to support such forms of raising children.

FTO Makovey has been functioning since 2006. During this time, many orphans were given a start in life. Now Valentina Ivanovna and Oleg Ivanovych are raising 10 children.
